Did you know, Living Turf is now the largest domestically owned turf distributor in Australia. This is not meant as a boast, but rather to highlight the fact that foreign ownership now dominates our sector of the Australian turf market.
Globe Australia is being sold to Chinese owned CK Life Sciences, who also own Nuturf, and Simplot Proline are an American based Company.
Living Turf trades on a philosophy of sales agronomy, meaning we live or die by the advice we give and the product solutions we sell. Pound for pound our people are the best, comprising of university and trade qualified professionals who understand turf manager's needs and challenges. Central to Living Turf's product and service offering, are the brands Matchplay and My-Results, which both represent Australian initiative and innovation.
We're proud that Matchplay products are Australian made from start to finish, with a range stretching from granular and liquid fertilisers to plant protection products. Matchplay products are formulated by manufacturing partners in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne, then sold through a growing distribution network.
My-Results on the other hand is a unique, online and interactive service developed by Australians for local turf managers. My-Results allows clients to store, view, contrast and compare turf test results over time (soil, water, nematodes, disease, tissue tests and more). Recently, My-Results also launched Australia's first turf disease alert service, enabling users to track disease pressure by applying complex algorithms to weather data from over 700 sites Australia wide.
We acknowledge that being Australian owned should not alone guarantee business success. However we trust that where locally owned and operated business can outperform foreign owned alternatives, free thinking turf managers will choose to trade with suppliers whose profits stay in the Australian economy.
Thanks for reading and on behalf of the Living Turf team sincere thanks for your ongoing custom - have a great Australia Day!
